As I read some of the debate over what is and what is not torture, I keep coming back to 'The Golden Rule' or Ethic of Reciprocity.
treat others as you would like to be treated.
I wonder if those people who are splitting hairs over whether or not waterboarding is torture would change thier tune if it was done to them?
How do those that wish to condone the use of waterboarding think that the rest of the world will react? Will the U.S.A. then turn hypocritical, condemning the same technique being used on citizens of the U.S.A.?
It is very hard to say you are on high moral ground when you have sunk so low.
